We Live Here Too - Pilot

What would our cities look like if we planned them not only for humans but also for bats, moths, and wildflowers?

Human cities are growing, and as they expand, the habitats of other species disappear. When these species are threatened, our own futures become more fragile too. But we can change this by creating cities where everyone has a place to live.

We Live Here Too is an interactive workshop that invites children to imagine and build cities that make space for other species through play, storytelling, and hands-on creativity. During the workshop, participants learn about a species that lives—or once lived—in their city, explore what it needs to survive, and use craft and imagination to design a future city where humans and other species can thrive together.
The workshop was first piloted in Slottskogen, Gothenburg’s central park. It was developed by Naturescape team-members at Lund University, the design studio Feral Malmö, and Linda Thelin, zoologist and nature educator at Slottskogen.

We Live Here Too encourages care, curiosity, and creativity across species — helping to reimagine what urban biodiversity can mean.
