In this micro course, we explore what do we mean by transformative change; how can we utilise different approaches to shape transformative change; and why justice, collaboration and open science on nature, climate and society is central to transformative change.

The course brings together curated content tailored for fast-paced learning on complex topics. It combines short films, podcasts, blogposts and educational briefs. The combination of different types of materials aims to stimulate learning and critical thinking.

Course structure

We organise this micro course into eight interconnected parts that lead you through the foundations of transformative change, an interactive learning activity, and a mix of topics for exploring transformative change.

On completion of the micro course, you can receive a diploma and provide feedback. We hope you explore our micro course, share your experiences with colleagues and networks, and expand your understanding of transformative change.

This micro course builds on 2 key foundations, which are the concept of a naturescape and the approach of a collaboratory.

Coordinated by Professor Kes McCormick, the development of this micro course engaged 15 colleagues from the Naturescapes project.
